Affirming Family Care

Getting help should not feel harder than the problem.

I help families living with anxiety, Autism, ADHD, OCD, and other neurodivergent dynamics. Parents usually reach me after trying other interventions, still facing conflict, outbursts or shutdowns, a tense home, and real worry about the future.

Being the parent of an anxious or neurodivergent teen can be overwhelming. If you dream of your family getting along and your child reaching their potential, I can help. You can enjoy your kids and your life as a family again, and get back to making meaningful memories together.

My work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and somatic approaches from a neurodiversity-affirming lens, addressing parent dynamics, sibling conflict, school accommodations, higher levels of care, and collaborative case management.

Allison's webinar that addressed parent concerns about teen anxiety was right on time. She provided brilliant guidance and tools to regulate emotions as parents in order to effectively communicate with their teens. Her presentation was therapeutic, personable, and non-judgmental, and left parents feeling empowered. I highly recommend Allison as a speaker, presenter, and clinical professional.

Allison's webinar on Surviving Family Time During Quarantine was so timely and helpful for our Parent Association. Our parents learned how kids and teens process traumatic events, and were taught innovative strategies to help their teens with emotion regulation. She has such an engaging way of speaking that made her an immediate favorite among our speakers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers before you ever pick up the phone.

I know how hard this juncture with your teenager can be. Here are answers to what parents ask me most about the work, the process, and the fees.

A 9 minute overview for prospective parents

I recorded a short video covering what to expect from family consulting, my fees, and the approaches I use. Request it and I will send it straight to your inbox.

I work with anxious and neurodivergent teens and young adults, along with their parents and siblings. Families often come to me navigating Autism, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, school refusal, and the family conflict that grows around those experiences.

Therapy is clinical treatment for a teen or young adult, provided under the guidelines of the Board of Behavioral Sciences. Family consulting is parent-facing work focused on strategy, education, advocacy, and coordination of care. Many families use both, and we decide together what fits your situation.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and somatic practices, all delivered from a neurodiversity-affirming lens. The goal is emotional regulation, self-advocacy, and steady movement toward independence rather than compliance.

We begin with a consultation call to understand what your family has already tried and what is still not working. From there I recommend a clear starting point, whether that is teen therapy, parent coaching, case management, or a combination.

Fees vary by service and by the level of coordination involved. I am an out of network provider and can supply documentation for reimbursement where applicable. Exact rates are discussed transparently during the consultation call.

Yes. Collaborative case management is a core part of my practice. I communicate with psychiatrists, physicians, school teams, tutors, coaches, and treatment programs so everyone is working toward the same goals.

You CAN Enjoy Your Life As A Family Again.

Let us calm the chaos together and get you back to making meaningful memories as a family.
